Proposal for a Collection

Next Saturday, June 24th, at 7:00 PM, Enlace Art presents its new artistic endeavor in Serra de Daró. This offering, actually a pair, carries the intriguing title ‘1+1=4.’ Firstly, a dual exhibition featuring the works of Guy Ferrer and Xavier Escribà. Ferrer, a painter and sculptor based in Perpignan, is an international artist with works scattered across the globe. Escribà, rooted in Masarac, finds himself halfway between the Pyrenees Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, just like his artworks, residing in numerous public and private collections and straddling the line between painting and sculpture. Together, they don’t just add up; they multiply. Hence the title, which aims to transcend the exhibited artworks and immerse us in a cross-border friendship. It serves as both a starting point and a destination for all of us, allowing us to explore the work of these two artists and witness the first-ever selection of Guy Ferrer’s pieces visiting our country.

The exhibition is further enriched by ‘Proposal for a collection,’ a selection of works from private collections featuring names such as Anthony Caro, Modest Cuixart, Luís Feito, Amadeo Gabino, Pablo Gargallo, Manolo Millares, Jorge Oteiza, Pablo Picasso, August Puig, Pablo Serrano, Antoni Tàpies, Paco Torres Monsó, and Manuel Viola.

In essence, this event provides an excellent reason to explore Ampurdán and indulge in a space spanning over 900 square meters, dedicated to all art enthusiasts. Our opening hours are from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. We are also open on Sunday mornings. The exhibition will be open for visits from June 24th to July 30th. We look forward to welcoming you!
